Planetary and angular gear boxs

Wittenstein reducers can be classified into two groups: those for standard applications (servo drives) and those for more demanding applications (servo drives). The difference lies in the accuracy class, but also in the bearings' resistance to axial and radial loads, acceleration tolerance and power density.

Planetary gear box

The planetary reducer performs a mechanical transmission along a single axis. Planetary reducers can be single or multi-stage. Wittenstein planetary reducers are available in different variations, from alpha Base class to alpha Premium class.

Corner gear boxs

A right-angle reducer or right-angle reducer performs a mechanical transmission between axles crossing at right angles. Examples of angular reducers are spiral reducers and hypoid transfer reducers (hypoid reducers). Hypoid reducers are also available in combination with a plantation reducer to provide a higher transmission coefficient.
