Blog Post No. 0: And Let There Be the Automation Blog
During one perfectly ordinary meeting, amid equally ordinary agenda items, an idea surfaced — the kind you might at first take as a joke: “What if we made a blog? About automation? And everything connected to it?”
But here we are — Electrobit turned 25 this year, and the knowledge and experience we've gathered are far too valuable to keep hidden in a drawer.
Will anyone read this blog? Hard to say. Maybe at first we’ll be our own readers, scrolling through posts with a cup of coffee and a slight smirk. But every story needs a beginning, and every beginning needs its first chapter.
So what will our automation blog be about?
About everything shaping the present and future of industrial automation. Technology moves forward at a breathtaking pace, and new developments appear faster than we can write them down. New products, new ideas, new directions — we’ll bring them to you clearly and engagingly, without unnecessary techno-mysticism, yet with enough depth for experts.
We’ll also share our real-world experience: how automation truly works on the shop floor, inside machines, in projects, and in day-to-day collaboration with clients. And perhaps we’ll get a chance to conduct some interviews and highlight real stories from within the industry.
And of course — the “textbook wisdom.” Every manual hides more value than most readers notice. We’ll explain those ideas in simple terms, with context and examples, and show how such knowledge helps make systems smarter, more efficient, and more energy-conscious.
